Space saving installation through single din rear chassis:

The rear chassis is designed through single din dimensions that gives enough room under the radio for cable harnesses, steering wheel control and integration boxes, etc.  This also provides the ability to install the radio in vehicles that may have obstructions behind the radio mounting area. 

USB type C compatible:

USB type C (high speed) compatible reversible connection interface ensures safe and easy plug in, while it can carry 5 V 3 A maximum current for updated smartphone connectivity. 

3 preouts terminals for your future system:

For future expandability, the 3 preouts connectivity allows you to build a full acoustic system including a subwoofer, a mono amplifier and 4 channel amplifier for even louder and powerful sound reproduction. 

Rear view camera ready through adjustable parking guidelines:

You can see the image of a connected rear view camera when you shift the vehicle's transmission lever to the R (reverse) position or tap the rear camera icon in the home screen.

IDatalink maestro compatible:

IDatalink maestro connects your vehicle's onboard computer through car audio, making it work as a customized display for your car's factory equipped functions and features.  It provides a seamless interface through factory infotainment and vehicle information such as air conditioning, performance and safety.  Simply connect an IDatalink maestro RR / 2 by automotive data solutions.  It's a new way to connect car audio to your vehicle while retaining and improving the functions of the original equipment.

Sirius XM radio ready through enhanced interface:

Connect your Sirius XM radio satellite tuner (not supplied) to enjoy commercial free music, sports, news and entertainment.  The newly designed user interface now includes station logo indication to ensure more intuitive operation than ever.

Sound customization:

The built in DSP offers sound processing and time alignment down to a remarkable 1 cm for each of the 5 addressable channels (4 speakers + subwoofer via preout).  A 14 bands EQ lets you adjust the overall sound to your music or taste.  Together through the 3 zones crossover, you can dial in the perfect match of front, rear and sub.

LDAC for exceptional sound quality:

Enjoy the convenience of Bluetooth wireless audio and exceptional sound quality thanks to LDAC.  Connect compatible devices to stream audio at 96 kHz / 24 bits sampling through bitrates up to 3 times higher (990 KBPS) than conventional Bluetooth.

FLAC audio file compatible:

FLAC  free loss less audio codec, is an audio format similar to MP3, but loss less, meaning audio signals are compressed without any loss in quality.  Now you can play back FLAC files through up to 24 bits depth and sampling frequency at 384 kHz. 

Sony A / V receiver audio playback specifications:

The latest Sony design platform realizes playback compatibility alongside various audio files recorded in higher sampling frequency and bit depth.  While its digital signal processing in below models can commonly handle high quality codecs including F and ALAC, WAV, and DSF / DIFF, compatible file property in detail and guaranteed frequency response differ between the mobile ES-series and regular products.  When it comes to high resolution audio certification that requires frequency response higher than 40 kHz, only the XAV-9500 and 9000ES can be promoted through high resolution audio logos.

Environment in mind:

Sony's products are not only designed to be stylish but also through the environment in mind.  For the individual packaging of the XAV-AX3700, up to 90 % of the cushions are made of paper materials, and compared to the prior model, printed information has been carefully considered for simplicity and length to reduce printer ink usage by approximately 80 %, reflecting Sony's commitment to reducing environmental impact.
