Just like any air filtration device you have at home or in your car's engine, the JVC KS-GA100 car air purifier will become less efficient over time due to particle buildup in the filter.  Keep your purifier running strong through the KS-GA10F Replacement HEPA Filter. Replacing the Filter requires no tools — simply twist the KS-GA100's top half off, pull out the old Filter, and drop the new one in as directed.  JVC recommends replacing the Filter every three to six months, depending on use.
