JL Audio JLC6-653: 6.5" 3-Way C6-Series Pair Component Speaker System

Born from shared technologies used in our flagship C7-Series Speakers, the JLC6-653 Component System combines the smoothness and transparency of a premium silk dome tweeter, a smooth, dynamic mid range through a top flight Component woofer to create a loudspeaker System through exceptional refinement and dynamic capability.

Benefiting from vast woofer design experience and advanced modelling Systems of JL Audio, the 6.5" (165 mm) C6-Series Component woofers feature purpose engineered, cast alloy frames outfitted through our elevated frame cooling technology.  A DMA optimized, forged and machined motor System generates outstanding mid bass impact through ultra low distortion.

The 2.8" (70 mm) mid range features a proprietary DMA optimized motor System.  A flat, linear profile spider promotes compliance, while a robust voice coil assembly supports extended power handling capability and serves to limit thermal compression and distortion at higher volume levels.  Each Speaker's frame is outfitted through a screw on, interchangeable mounting System, including adapter rings to easily fit behind OEM factory trim in dashboard locations.

The 1" (25 mm) C6-Series Component tweeters feature edge driven pure silk dome diaphragms for smooth high frequency performance through remarkable off axis response and damping.  Neodymium motors and ferrofluid cooling provide high magnetic flux and improved reliability through extended response from a very compact motor system.  Surface and flush mount fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation applications. 

Premium passive crossover networks are included through each JLC6-653 Component System.  Featuring 4 levels of tweeter adjustment, these outboard filter networks are equipped through premium polyester film and electrolytic capacitors as well as low loss air core inductors, all accessible beneath a protective, polycarbonate cover.

Woofer grilles are included, each consisting of a black grille tray and a fine steel mesh grille and an electroformed JL Audio badge logo.  Speakers are sold as a pair.

C6-Series woofer features:
