JBL / Selenium WPU1809-4: 15" 450 W RMS Woofer

The professional 15" Woofer is designed to meet the requirements of high power bass reproduction systems.  For a high degree of performance and reliability, each component utilizes the most advanced technology available.  The 4" (100 mm) mobile coil uses high temperature resistant wire and polyamide form.  The cone is made of long fiber cellulose and impregnated through special resins that guarantee the mechanical assembly great mechanical stability and perfect bass reproduction.  The new fabric suspension receives a special rubber based treatment reducing distortion and fatigue; the spider is double to ensure perfect centering of the moving assembly.  The injected aluminum speaker housing has high structural rigidity and aids in heat dissipation.  The highly optimized finite element magnetic set was developed in order to minimize harmonic distortion, thus having a symmetrical magnetic field and extended pole.  The thermal dissipation is guaranteed by a large central ventilation hole and 6 sides windows positioned in the housing, providing great heat dissipation from the coil, ensuring maximum efficiency and low power compression.
