JBL / Selenium 12MB1200A: 12" Speaker Woofer

The JBL / Selenium 12MB1200A is a 12" Woofer for midbass professional sound reinforcement.  This robust Woofer is capable of supporting 600 W RMS and is ideal for compact enclosures (closed, vented or horns).  High efficiency is achieved through the use of a large ceramic ferrite motor and low mass 100 mm (4") diameter aluminum voice coil wound on a fiberglass former.  The pole piece also has a ring of short copper to minimize harmonic distortion.  The aluminum die cast frame provides the array through high mechanical resistance.  This Woofer includes an impregnated cloth surround, stable spider and a large central vent channel for reducing long term heat buildup.  The 12MB1200A was developed and tested under the most severe of conditions to ensure a delivery of outstanding midrange and exceptional long term performance.
