Flexible Playback:

The HDS-990 has multiple Digital source inputs that can play a wide range of Digital music file formats from MP3 to High Resolution for flexible Playback options.  Either connect a smartphone or mass storage device via a wired USB connection or input or connect wirelessly via Bluetooth and LDAC connection.  High Resolution music can be accessed on popular High Resolution streaming services like apple music, tidal, amazon music HD, and more or purchased and downloaded from platforms like HD tracks. 

Iconic design:

The HDS-990 features a commander unit that includes 6 chiclets that access various sound and music controls and a High definition display that features song information.  The unit can be conveniently mounted to the dash and used as a standalone music source or integrated through the factory or aftermarket head unit via the RCA or 4 channel High level inputs to easily switch between Digital music sources.

Infallible listening experience:

When paired alongside the High Resolution processing power of the HDP-D90 Digital sound processor amplifier (DSP), you receive an infallible listening experience and the ability to build and tune your ideal sound system.

Flexible installation:

The HDS-990 includes a separate black box that can be installed behind the counsel, under the seat, or in another hidden area for flexible installation options.  The black box features a wide range of feature suites for inputs and outputs that allow for convenient integration into any type of factory or aftermarket sound system. 

Optimized for full system:

The Alpine Status system is sold separately and can be used to build a custom sound system.  3 sets of true 4 V preamp outputs are included to add additional amplifiers if more power is needed.  For best results, install the complete Alpine Status system together as a full system to achieve the highest in class audio performance only second to the ultra High Resolution Alpine F1 system.
