The XDJ-AZ inherits the layout and feel of the flagship CDJ-3000 and DJM-A9DJM-A9 to give you an intuitive experience.  When you perform on the System, it feels as if you're at-One through the decks, allowing for more creative performances.  Through full size jog wheels that feel just like those on the CDJ-3000, pitch bending and scratching on the XDJ-AZ are incredibly smooth.  The mixer section inherits the intuitive layout of the DJM-A9, and all controls positioned to maximize playability.  And it features user friendly buttons for assigning beat FX to help you express yourself through the music.  So, when you’'e mastered the XDJ-AZ, you'll be familiar through the way club standard equipment works and feels, making it much easier to perform at your best-In-clubs.

Built-In-WiFi and support for various media types to suit your DJ style, Rekordbox cloud and streaming direct play and extensive device and DJ application compatibility:

Access your cloud based rekordbox library directly from the XDJ-AZ through cloud direct play.  You can use the latest version of your playlists and performance data, such as hot cue information, and even update it from the unit.  This not only ensures a seamless DJ experience but also allows you to do all your preparation solely from your All-In-One System.  You'll need a subscription to the Rekordbox creative or professional plan, or cloud option to use Rekordbox cloud direct play.  Through support for beat port streaming, the streaming direct play feature enables you to directly play tracks from beat port's vast dance music library and the latest genre specific playlists.  You'll even get analysis data such as wave form, BPM, and grid information so you can easily mix new and diverse music-Into-your sets.  To use streaming direct play on the XDJ-AZ, you'll need to subscribe to the beat port streaming professional or advanced plan.  As well as playing tracks from USB drives, you can DJ by connecting to your PC / mac or mobile device.  And, if you want to showcase your individuality even further, you can play audio from external devices like turntables and samplers.  The unit has a USB type C port for PC / mac connection, so you can use Rekordbox for mac / windows-In-performance mode or serato DJ professional and there's no need for a paid subscription plan for either.  And, if you use the WiFi connection for Rekordbox link export, you can conveniently access tracks from your PC / mac or mobile device without needing to plug in cables.  You can use the link export of Rekordbox for mac / windows or Rekordbox for IOS / android. Link export in Rekordbox for android doesn't support wired connections.

The 10.1" capacitive touchscreen on the XDJ-AZ doesn't just give you more visual information, it makes it easier to control everything too.  Up to 13 tracks can be displayed at once, a massive increase from the 8 on the XDJ-XZ, so you can see more of your music and find songs quicker.  Other advanced features include playlist bank, to which you can register up to 4 playlists for rapid access, touch preview, which allows you to preview tracks in playlists without loading them, and touch cue, which you can use to preview the upcoming section of tracks currently playing on the deck.  All this makes track selection quick and smooth.  And, through the option to display the status of the selected performance pad and beat FX settings simultaneously, you can instantly grasp the information you need-In-order to perform.

Standalone 4 decks playback: DJ your way:

Whether you want to add more sounds to your mix, create live mashups, go back to back alongside another DJ, or get more tracks lined up so you're ready to drop them at the perfect time, 4 decks playback support on the XDJ-AZ gives you the flexibility to perform however you like.  You can seamlessly integrate CDJ's-Into-your setup too, so there's no need to switch decks.  Through professional DJ link compatibility, beat and on air information are synced across the players, so you'll feel in full control.

Ultra low latency wireless monitoring through sonic link compatible DJ headphones:

Thanks to the integrated sonic link transmitter, you can enjoy ultra low latency wireless monitoring through the
 HDJ-F10 professional DJ headphones.  Press a single button to pair the XDJ-AZ alongside the headphones and you can move around the DJ booth or stage freely, knowing you'll never tangle or pull on a cable.  Sonic link is Alpha Theta's own proprietary ultra low latency wireless technology.  It transmits audio 20 times faster than the commonly used Bluetooth SBC codec, so you'll never notice a delay between pressing a button or scratching through the jog wheels and hearing the sound from the output.  The XDJ-AZ doesn't support a wireless connection through the wave 8 portable wireless DJ speaker.

Clear and dynamic audio, if you're familiar of the preceding XDJ-XZ, you'll notice various upgrades have been made-In-the design of the XDJ-AZ.  By incorporating a 32 bits D / A converter from ESS technology, the sound quality has been significantly enhanced to create clear and dynamic audio that can rock large venues and clubs.  3 bands master EQ, you can also use it to tweak the output sound according to the acoustic characteristics of the venue.  Mixer settings, and the unit features a dedicated button for the mixer settings, so you can quickly check and adjust the mixer's status onscreen.
